Pole for "Pecco" and party for more than 2000 people who filled the Fan Zone of MotorLand Aragón

There was a great atmosphere this Saturday at Motorland Aragon, the riders of the Aragon Grand Prix fought for the poles under the watchful eye of the fans. After a morning full of adrenaline, they still had enough energy to go to the Fan Zone to enjoy interviews, music with DJ, photos and merchandising for all the fans who came there from 16:00 to 18:00 in the afternoon.

The first FP3 of the morning

On the sporting side, Denis Öncü led with a great last lap the third and final day of a Moto3 free practice session at the Motorland Aragon Circuit. The Turkish secured a direct pass to Q2 beating Izan Guevara, who has been very strong all weekend at the Spanish track. The other championship contenders in the championship, Dennis Foggia and Sergio Garcia Dols, also managed to join the list of riders qualified to the Q2 by finishing sixth and tenth respectively.

In Moto2, Alonso Lopez continued with his good sensations on the bike by qualifying directly to Q2, followed by Augusto Fernandez, leader of the championship, less than 1 tenth of a second behind. The Spanish domination was confirmed with Arón Canet and Pedro Acosta in third and fourth position respectively.

In the premier class, Jack Miller leads the list of riders that directly qualified to Q2, the Australian is followed by his teammate and second in the championship, Pecco Bagnaia. There was absolute dominance of the Ducati factory in the last free practice session of the weekend, as the official team was followed by Bezzecchi, Bastianini and Martin. On the other hand, Fabio Quartararo finished eighth with Marc Márquez twelfth, forcing him to go through Q1 as well as the two Aprilias of Aleix Espargaró and Maverick Viñales.

Bagnaia takes pole and Ducati dominates in Aragón

The MotoGP World Championship runner-up, Francesco Bagnaia, continues his streak of pole positions at the Aragón circuit and is on course for his fifth consecutive victory, with Aleix fourth and Quartararo sixth.

The first qualifying session at the Aragon Grand Prix had great charm. The presence of the two Aprilias of Maverick Viñales and Aleix Espargaró, as well as the Honda of Marc Márquez. The battle for the two places to pass to Q2 promised to be very tight. The pressure was always felt, in fact, Aleix had a few moments of tension with Marc Marquez who tried to follow his lead. Finally, the Aprilia rider would take first place followed by Zarco. Marc was out of Q2 after finishing third.

In Q2, Bastianini started dominating and was followed by Bagnaia and Miller. The Ducati lead and Fabio struggled to get close to the leading times. In the second start, changing tyres, Pecco Bagnaia beat the time to take the pole position, Miller and Bastianini completed the first row of the grid with Aleix fourth. Quartararo finished in sixth place.

Pole for Augusto Fernandez in Aragon with a great Albert Arenas second in Moto2

The Moto2 Q1 of the Aragon Grand Prix was dominated by the presence of two title contenders: Ai Ogura and Celestino Vietti. Finally, both made it through to Q2 accompanied by Cameron Beaubier and Alessandro Zaccone. Already in the second qualifying session, the Japanese warned that he would not make it easy for the leader of the championship, Augusto Fernandez. Ogura took the lead, while Vietti had a crash that left him out of the battle for pole. After a pit stop, Arón Canet and Jake Dixon set the fasters lap time until Augusto Fernández set a spectacular lap to take pole. A good Albert Arenas was second ahead of Jake Dixon. Alonso Lopez and Pedro Acosta head the second row of Sunday's grid.

In Moto3 Izan Guevara takes the pole and warns; Foggia and Sergio, forced to come back

World Championship leader, Izan Guevara, won the race with a great pace. Carlos Tatay and David Muñoz managed to win and join Riccardo Rossi and the very young Taiyo Furusato to move on to Q2. In the second qualifying session, Izan Guevara started at the front followed by Sasaki and Holgado. Öncü, great dominator of the combined free practice crashed, losing his chance for pole. Finally, the second try did not change the positions and Izan confirmed the pole position.

MotorLand Aragón celebrated the event for the first time ever. The Fan Zone was a great success and the large number of people who came to the commercial area enjoyed more than 2 hours shared with more than 15 riders of the world championship. With the Monster DJ and the Monster Girls opening the show, the first riders began to arrive. Álex Rins and Joan Mir opened the stage for the first time followed by Marc Márquez, Pol Espargaró and Álex Márquez, three of the riders who received the loudest ovation and who spent a long time signing autographs and taking pictures with the fans. Jorge Martin, Zarco, Fernández, Pedro Acosta, Izan Guevara, Quartararo, Maverick Viñales or Aleix Espargaró were some of the riders who came to delight the fans.

All to be decided in Sunday's races

After Saturday's grid configuration, the Animoca Brands de Aragón MotoGP Grand Prix will be decided on Sunday. The day will start with the different warm up sessions from 9am until 10am with the Moto3 (9:00-9:10am), Moto2 (9:20-9:30am) and MotoGP (9:40-10:00am) riders. And from 11:00h on, the races will start. The first will be the Moto3 category (21 laps) to give way later to the Moto2 category that will race at 12:20h (21 laps). At 14:00h it will be time for the race of the premier class, MotoGP, whose riders will do 23 laps of the track in Alcañiz. To finish the event, the Rookies Cup riders will celebrate their second and last race to end the weekend.
