About MotorLand Aragón
MotorLand was created as a public company in 2001. The Board of Directors is made-up of representatives from the Aragon Government, the Teruel County Council and the Alcañiz Town Council. These three institutions have been working together from the beginning for the development of the complex.
The design of the road racing track was entrusted to the prestigious German designer Hermann Tilke, who counted on the collaboration of Formula 1 driver Pedro de la Rosa, acting as technical advisor. The road racing track, the emblem of the sports area of the complex, was inaugurated on 6 September 2009. That same year, the great motor sports show of the the World Series by Renault, came to MotorLand for the first time.
The road racing track was the last step to complete the sports facilities. But there are also international level racetracks for karting and off-road; as well as Autocross, Supermotard, Motocross and Extreme Enduro tracks, and the technological facilities known as TechnoPark MotorLand, aimed at R&D&I, where many companies have already decided to settle-in in order to work and develop their projects, all of which are related to the world of motoring.
Right now, Marta Gastón is the President of MotorLand Aragón, with Juan Carlos Gracia as Vice-President.
